Thanks to everyone who made it along to Kinsale Hotel & Spa for our Kinsale Rugby Sevens launch night! π€©π€©
We welcomed our guests of honour Munster & Irelandβs Calvin Nash and Irish Sevens Captain and Olympian Megan Burns to the rugby club first, where they met and chatted with some of our underage Sharks players. Our stars had loads of time for the kids, who got to spend time with their heroes. We also welcomed the Irish Guide Dogs - our charity partners - to join the fun. ππ
Then it was off to the fabulous Kinsale Hotel & Spa where Gerry Mooney from our event sponsors Heineken spoke about their continued commitment to our Sevens event, which is a major fundraiser for our teams and facilities. ππ
Kinsale RFC President Paul Kingston spoke about how the club continues to grow and develop hundreds of players, and our appreciation of our volunteers, community and neighbours who help make the club and our Sevens event a success. π₯°π₯°
Next Calvin and Megan joined KRFC PRO Paul McSherry for a chat about their careers and ambitions. Calvin spoke about the recent 6 Nations campaign and the new leadership team at Munster. While Megan shared her Olympic experience, and life on the road as an Irish Sevens player. βοΈβοΈ
