Well done to the Kinsale Rugby Wild Geese veterans team who travelled to Kildare last weekend, playing in a test versus a newly formed Naas vets (40+) team.

The game was a warm up for a crowd that had gathered to support the Naas RFC AIL side who were hosting Shannon RFC. Shannon earned a badly needed win to help stave off relegation status as the season comes to conclusion.

In the Vets game, the home team Naas edged out a closely contested 5-0 victory but the game was not short of big hits and running rugby. The post match hospitality was second to none and there was a super atmosphere around the club. Huge thanks to our hosts who took such good care of our Geese. 🪿🪿

The double header was used as an opportunity to fundraise for the Naas Vipers who are a mixed ability side for players between 6 and 16 years. 

Kinsale RFC were delighted to be a part of the day which helped raise in excess of €2,500 which will be put towards playing gear and equipment for the Vipers.
