Well done to our U14 and U16 girls who, along with their sister clubs, really lit up Snugmore on a cold and dull day.
This is the third year of the AnneMarie Kingston cup and it continues to grow. Teams from all over Ireland attended, despite the forecast, and entertained a large crowd in attendance. Some high quality rugby on display in both the U16 and U14 levels.
Ballincollig came out on top in the U14s tournament, winning all their pool games. The Kinsale U14 girls impressed with some fabulous running rugby. The future is bright.
In the U16s tournament it was nip and tuck. By winning their 3 pool games, the Kinsale girls would enjoy a final against an impressive Buccaneers side from Galway. The Kinsale and Muskery girls scored late in the second half to win it, and the place erupted! 12-7 the final score to KinKerry.
A great day of ladies rugby. Thank you to the many volunteers and helpers who made a great day of it. To the coaches and supporters, refs and officials - but mostly thanks to the girls team who lit up this St Brigids day. 👏👏
Same again next year!
