Saturday was a busy one at Snugmore as we welcomed our minis and their parents looking for a welcome break from the house, and a bit of fresh air after the rain! ☀️☀️
Our u11 and u12 boys fared well against Clonakilty who came to town and our u12 girls travelled to Mallow and put in a shift 👏👏
A number of fixtures fell foul of the weather - most notably our men’s firsts whose Sunday game was postponed. But two games did go ahead in front of the crowds.
⭐️ U16 boys 17 - 24 Skibbereen
A powerful Skib side did enough damage in the first half to hold out against our brave 16s who fought hard and lost to the bounce of a ball.
Tries from Cooper Farrell and Darragh Tracey, plus two conversions and a peno from Josh Lehane for the home team.
⭐️U18.5 boys 20 - 19 Clonakilty
Our u18s finished strong with a late try sealing a win by the narrowest of margins. Great defensive work keeping Clon out on the line in the last play of the game won the day.
Well done to Will Lehane and his team for getting over the line 👏👏
❤️❤️ Thanks for all the volunteer support over the weekend. Hundreds of kids get to enjoy our game thanks to all of your coaching, organising, supporting, driving, feeding, washing, and much more besides! Takes a big family to run a rugby club 👍👏👏👏👏👏
