Our men’s firsts faced a tough challenge in their league campaign today as they played a fine Tralee RFC team in Kerry.
After going 19-3 down, things looked bad for the Kinsale boys, but an incredible fight back saw Kinsale leading in the final minutes. A late try gave Tralee a chance to draw the game but the conversion attempt sailed wide, giving Kinsale an incredible 38-36 away win. Vital league points! 👏👏
This team continue to dig deep to win games, and play great rugby. In fact both teams should be applauded for the quality of the rugby. 👍👍
Two tries for David Looney, one each for Sean Coughlan & Robin O’Flynn as well as a penalty try, plus 5 conversions and one peno from Dylan Lacey made up the Kinsale tally. 🏉 🏉
Well done to player of the match Pat O’Regan, and Effort Kings Brian O’Donnell and David Looney who were presented with gifts courtesy of sponsors Blacks Brewery. Well deserved. 👏👏
Thank you to Tralee for being great hosts and for a great game. 👍👍
