It was a game of two halves at a cold and clear Snugmore today. All the scores came in the first half as our Men’s Firsts lost 19-12 to a strong St Mary’s side from Limerick.
After an open first half where David Looney and Faelen Stewart scored Kinsale’s tries, with Dylan Lacey getting the extra points, the second half was very cagey. No score from either side, and lots of big hits meant neither side could seal it. As Kinsale pushed and Mary’s picked up a yellow card, the break through never came.
It’s a hard result for our developing firsts team, but there’s plenty of the season still to be played.
Thanks to all the supporters and volunteers who came out to make it a great occasion. The match ends a lively weekend at the clubhouse with a massive girls tournament earlier in the day, and a big minis morning on Saturday.
